The Manufacturing Engineer develops, implements and optimizes the production processes at a Carrier manufacturing facility. This hands-on role designs lines, standardizes work and stabilizes production, ensuring processes are safe, capable and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designs, documents and implements manufacturing processes and standard work instructions.
- Develops line layouts, process sheets, time studies and capacity analyses.
- Supports the installation, implementation and stabilization of production lines.
- Leads process-improvement, productivity and scrap-reduction projects.
- Supports new-product introduction (NPI) and PPAP/APQP activities.
- Applies Lean tools and structured problem-solving on the floor.
- Creates and maintains visual aids, work instructions and process documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a discrete/assembly environment.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employer sponsorship is not available for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Hands-on experience developing standard work, process sheets, time studies and capacity analyses.
- Working knowledge of line layouts, GD&T, fixtures/tooling and process validation.
- Experience supporting line installation, implementation and stabilization.
- Proficiency with Lean tools and structured problem-solving (5-Why, fishbone, 8D).
- Experience supporting production line implementation and operational readiness.
- CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, Solid Works) and process-analysis tools.
- Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $ annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
