Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. (JLL) is seeking a Controls SME to lead building automation and control system strategies across a complex real estate portfolio. You will design, optimize, and troubleshoot BAS/BMS, HVAC, and energy management systems to improve performance, reliability, and sustainability. Partnering with facility, project, and sustainability teams, you will develop standards, guide capital projects, manage vendors, and analyze data to drive efficiency.
You will also mentor teams, support technology-enabled solutions, and ensure compliance with client, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, optimization, and standards for building automation and control systems across a real estate portfolio.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex BAS/BMS and HVAC control issues to improve reliability and comfort.
- Analyze energy and performance data to identify efficiency opportunities and support sustainability goals.
- Provide technical guidance on controls for capital projects, retrofits, and technology upgrades.
- Develop and maintain controls standards, sequences of operation, and documentation.
- Manage and coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and service providers for controls projects and maintenance.
- Support commissioning, functional testing, and system acceptance for new and upgraded controls systems.
- Collaborate with facility, engineering, and sustainability teams to align controls with client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements related to control systems.
- Mentor and train internal teams and client staff on controls best practices and tools.
