Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages seeks a Process Engineer to lead performance and reliability of blow mold equipment in a high-speed beverage manufacturing plant. You will analyze production data, reduce downtime and scrap, and optimize settings to ensure consistent bottle quality. Partnering with maintenance, operations, and quality, you'll drive root cause analysis, implement continuous improvement projects, and standardize best practices. You'll champion safety, support capital projects and new package introductions, and train operators and technicians on procedures and equipment care.
Responsibilities
- Optimize blow mold equipment performance, settings, and cycle times to meet quality and throughput targets.
- Monitor production data to improve OEE and reduce downtime, scrap, and energy use.
- Lead root cause analysis on equipment and process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with maintenance and operations to plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Develop and update SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation for blow mold operations.
- Support capital projects, trials, and new package or material introductions.
- Train operators and technicians on equipment operation, changeovers, and basic care.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all process changes.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support plant performance, safety, and reliability goals.
Required Skills
- Blow molding equipment setup and optimization
- Process engineering and continuous improvement
- Root cause analysis and problem solving (5 Why, Fishbone)
- Statistical process control (SPC)
- PLC-driven production line understanding
- Preventive and predictive maintenance planning
- CAD literacy for equipment/layout changes
- Data analysis for OEE, downtime, and scrap reduction
- Technical documentation and SOP development
- Safety and OSHA/regulatory compliance in manufacturing
