Job SummaryThis is entry level work in the operation of groundwater, surface water, or wastewater treatment plant equipment and facilities on an assigned shift.
ResponsibilitiesW/WW Operator Apprentice and W/WW Operator D Learns, assists, and performs the safe and efficient operation of treatment process units, groundwater well field, filters, pumps, reverse osmosis membrane trains, other plant equipment, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition ( SCADA ) systems in accordance with established procedures and state agencies, rules, and regulations. Operates raw water facilities and sludge digesters; and maintains proper water levels in tanks and covered storage reservoirs by operating pumps and valves.
