Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. (JLL) seeks a Mechanical SME to provide technical leadership across commercial real estate portfolios. You will assess, design, and optimize mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, controls) to improve reliability, efficiency, and sustainability in complex facilities. Responsibilities include asset assessments, root-cause analysis, standards development, and guiding capital projects. Partner with property, engineering, and sustainability teams to implement best practices, support commissioning, and ensure compliance.
Ideal candidates bring strong client communication skills and experience with large, multi-site environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise on mechanical systems across JLL-managed properties
- Assess and optimize HVAC, plumbing, and controls for performance, reliability, and sustainability
- Conduct asset condition assessments and root-cause failure analysis
- Develop standards, guidelines, and best practices for mechanical systems
- Support planning and review of mechanical scopes for capital projects
- Collaborate with property, engineering, and sustainability teams on solutions
- Support commissioning, re-commissioning, and system retrofits
- Ensure compliance with applicable mechanical codes and regulations
- Analyze system and energy data to identify improvement opportunities
- Prepare clear technical reports, recommendations, and client presentations
