Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. is seeking a Controls SME for critical environments to support high-availability commercial real estate assets. You will oversee building automation and controls for data centers, labs, and other mission-critical facilities, ensuring uptime, reliability, and energy efficiency. Responsibilities include system monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, and documentation, as well as vendor coordination and risk mitigation. You'll collaborate closely with facility and engineering teams, support commissioning of new projects, and provide expert guidance to clients in a performance-driven, innovative culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead operation, optimization, and troubleshooting of building automation and controls for critical environments (data centers, labs, and mission-critical facilities).
- Monitor and analyze system performance, alarms, and trends to ensure uptime, reliability, and adherence to SLAs and compliance standards.
- Coordinate with facility, engineering, and vendor teams to plan and execute maintenance, upgrades, and repairs with minimal operational impact.
- Develop and refine control strategies, sequences of operation, and setpoints to improve energy efficiency and system resilience.
- Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and as-built records for all controls systems and critical equipment.
- Support commissioning, testing, and validation of new or modified controls and critical systems.
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance to onsite teams and clients regarding controls best practices and risk mitigation.
- Respond to incidents and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for system failures.
- Assist with capacity planning, change management, and risk assessments for controlled environments.
- Train and mentor staff on controls system operation, monitoring tools, and emergency procedures.
