Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. is seeking an Electrical SME to provide expert guidance on electrical systems across a portfolio of commercial properties. You will lead electrical design reviews, ensure code compliance, improve reliability and energy efficiency, and support capital and tenant improvement projects. Partner with facility managers, engineers, vendors, and sustainability teams to troubleshoot issues, standardize best practices, and implement technology-enabled solutions.
This role is client-facing, supporting high-profile assets while driving safety, performance, and resilience in the built environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for building electrical systems across a commercial real estate portfolio
- Review and advise on electrical designs for capital and tenant improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, local codes, and JLL standards
- Lead root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of complex electrical issues
- Develop standards, guidelines, and best practices for electrical systems
- Identify and implement energy efficiency and reliability improvements
- Support commissioning, testing, and lifecycle planning for electrical assets
- Collaborate with facility managers, engineers, contractors, and clients
- Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and recommendations
- Contribute to sustainability and technology-enabled building initiatives
