Mission Critical Group seeks an Estimator to develop accurate, detailed cost estimates for data centers and mission-critical facilities. In this role, you will analyze drawings, specifications, and project scopes to build budgets, bids, and proposals that support complex technical and infrastructure projects. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and recruiting teams, evaluate vendor quotes, identify cost risks and value-engineering opportunities, and maintain cost databases.
This position offers the chance to grow in a high-demand, specialized sector supporting critical facilities across the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope for data centers and mission-critical facilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals for technical and infrastructure projects
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations stakeholders to validate assumptions and clarify requirements
- Develop and maintain cost databases, benchmarks, and pricing models for materials, labor, and subcontractors
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes, ensuring alignment with project scope and quality standards
- Support business development and sales teams with pricing strategies and proposal responses
- Identify cost risks, value-engineering options, and opportunities to optimize project budgets
- Present estimates and findings to internal teams and clients with clear documentation and rationale
- Collaborate with recruiting teams to align labor assumptions with current market rates and availability
- Continuously refine estimating processes, tools, and best practices based on project outcomes and feedback
