Rental ​/ Private Event Attendant

Overview

The City of Richland Hills, Texas (pop. 8,000) is seeking an Intern position that will provide an opportunity to explore a career field in event/hospitality within the Parks and Recreation field. This position will be involved in a variety of customer service, setup, cleanup and breakdown of banquets, weddings, meetings and business events at The Link Recreation and Event Center. This position is primarily responsible for meeting customer needs on the day of the event from setup through breakdown, reviewing rental agreements and ensuring the event services are provided timely.

• Provide customer service and support for events at The Link Recreation and Event Center, including setup, cleanup, and breakdown of banquets, weddings, meetings and business events.
• Meet customer needs on the day of the event from setup through breakdown.
• Review rental agreements and ensure event services are provided timely and in accordance with terms.

• Experience as a lead worker, person-to-person customer service, cash handling or related experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team and provide a high level of service to customers.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with a good driving record.
• Intrinsic motivation, high ethical and moral standards, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a flexible schedule and must clear a post-offer physical, drug test, and criminal background check.

Starting range is $11.36 to $17.05 per hour, depending on qualifications.
