Role

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Controller / CFO to oversee the financial operations of our organization and partner closely with ownership and leadership. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys both high-level strategy and day-to-day financial management.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
  • Manage audits, tax filings, and coordination with external CPAs
  • Develop financial strategies to support growth and operational efficiency
  • Provide financial reporting and insights to ownership and senior leadership
  • Monitor and improve cost controls, profitability, and financial processes
  • Support banking relationships, financing, and capital planning as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
  • Prior experience as a Controller, CFO, or senior accounting leader
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting
  • Experience with payroll, tax filings, and audit coordination
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial operations
