A leading Investment company is searching for a highly skilled Specialist | Mergers & Acquisitions reporting to the Head of Acquisitions. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and executing acquisitions that align with the company's strategic objectives. This role requires strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex transactions from inception to completion.

Duties & Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing and Identification:

Proactively identify potential acquisition opportunities through market research, industry analysis, and networking.
Evaluate strategic fit, financial viability, and potential risks associated with target brokerages or offices.

Financial Analysis and Due Diligence:

Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including valuation modeling, to assess the feasibility and potential returns of proposed transactions.
Lead due diligence efforts, coordinating with cross-functional teams to evaluate legal, financial, operational, and regulatory aspects of target brokerages or offices.

Transaction Structuring and Negotiation:

Develop deal structures and negotiation strategies to maximize value and mitigate risks for the company.
Engage in negotiations with target companies, shareholders, and other stakeholders to achieve favourable terms and agreements.

Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, board members, and functional teams, to ensure alignment of M&A activities with overall business objectives.
Build partnerships, networks and business expansion.

Integration Planning and Execution:

Monitor and track integration progress, addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the integration process.

Documentation and Legal Compliance:

Prepare and review transaction documentation, including letters of intent, purchase agreements, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Ensure adherence to financial services industry regulations.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field;
Advanced degree in Financial degree preferred.

Professional certifications such as CFA or CFP a plus.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial services, preferably within distribution and/or broker environment, investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or management consulting, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.

Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end M&A transactions, including deal sourcing, due diligence, negotiation, and integration.

Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of Financial Services Regulatory requirements.
