- Review accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules prepared by Finance Executives.
- Ensure monthly management accounts are prepared accurately and on a timely basis.
- Monitor work allocation and deadlines to ensure deliverables are met.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior team members.
- Identify errors, gaps, or inconsistencies and ensure timely rectification.
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g. SFRS/IFRS, where applicable).
- Review supporting schedules including:
- Bank reconciliations
- Accounts receivable & payable aging
- Accruals and prepayments
- Fixed asset registers
- Assist in preparation of consolidated accounts (if applicable).
- Liaise with auditors and respond to audit queries.
- Review GST returns before submission.
- Review corporate tax computations and supporting schedules.
- Ensure timely statutory filings.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate governance requirements.
