Assistant Vice President, Strategic Partners

Job Overview

Assist in building and maintaining strategic partnerships with alternative, annuity, mutual fund, and ETF product manufacturers for LPL Financial. The Assistant Vice President of Strategic Partnerships manages high‑profile business relationships, drives technology and platform enhancements, and supports initiatives that bolster LPL’s product offerings to advisors and investors.

• Identify shared strategic priorities across firms and help drive execution to achieve successful outcomes.
• Secure commitments for technology, platform enhancements, and support conference fundraising.
• Develop a relationship scorecard for key partners, including strategic vision, focus areas, and next steps.
• Prepare executives for productive engagements and meetings with product sponsors.
• Manage internal access and connectivity with sponsors across the organization.
• Build strong working relationships with investment product teams, legal, accounting, operations, and other internal partners.
• Create and maintain an action plan for large and opportunistic relationships, document existing interactions, and brief internal partners on status and opportunities.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging investment themes.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
• Use a data‑based approach to enhance existing services and build new offerings, partnering with vendors and LPL technology teams to define wireframes, functional specifications, and operational flowcharts.
• Define and refine key attributes of existing and new offerings, including product pricing, business cases, economics, and operational models.

• 7+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferably with broker‑dealers and/or product manufacturers.
• 7+ years in investment product management, strategy, or related roles.
• Strong negotiation skills and confidence engaging senior executives.
• Analytical skills with advanced Excel expertise; strong PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to build influential relationships with sponsors and internal partners.
• Organized, self‑accountable, and able to meet deadlines.
• Deep product knowledge of Mutual Funds and ETFs; industry knowledge of product and platform trends, pricing structures, and current models.
• Team‑oriented collaborator driven by consensus outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
• Strong understanding of investment vehicles, capital markets, and portfolio construction.
• Licensing:
  Series 7; experience with alternatives, SMAs, or model portfolios a plus.
• Familiarity with financial regulations (SEC, FINRA, MiFID).
• Previous experience in a Sponsor Relations/Strategic Partnership role a plus.

• Pay Range: $121,514–$202,524 per year (actual base salary varies by skill, experience, education, peers, performance, and location).
