Director of Finance And Accounting

The Director of Finance/Accounting will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Finance/Accounting Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or company-wide improvements. This role will play a crucial part in the company's growth, ensuring financial stability, compliance, and strategic decision-making for our new manufacturing facility.

• Researches, plans and implements Finance/Accounting Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or company-wide improvements.
• Spearheads financial control initiatives, ensuring optimal contractual outcomes and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Manages Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) and Operational Expenditures (OPEX), implementing strategies to enhance cost-efficiency.
• Provides leadership and oversight for day-to-day accounting operations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Monitors cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities to optimize financial performance.
• Collaborates with other departments to provide financial guidance and support for decision-making processes.
• Implements and manages policies and procedures to maintain corporate governance to expected standards.
• Stays up to date with Renewable energy project financing trends, assisting the business development teams with proper modelling.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
• Stays up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in finance.
• Leads the management of working capital lines, debt, and other banking relationships to support operational needs.
• Continuously optimizes financial structures for agility and sustainability.
• Navigates and strategizes around indirect tax, local tax, and employee taxation, encompassing calculation, filing, and accounting.
• Performs tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis.
• Ensures strict compliance with relevant tax regulations, offering insightful tax planning.
• Upholds compliance with US GAAP reporting standards, producing accurate and timely financial statements.
• Delivers comprehensive financial reports, providing actionable insights to the leadership team.
• Drives the implementation of SAP and other cutting-edge financial systems for increased operational efficiency.
• Streamlines financial processes to elevate overall performance and accuracy.
• Collaborates in internal and external audit processes, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
• Implements audit recommendations to fortify financial controls and practices.
• Any other duties assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 15 years’ experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in US GAAP, taxation, and financial regulations.
• Experience with SAP, including SAP system implementation.
• Excellent financial report writing skills.
• Experience in fiscal management and corporate finance.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• English language skills:
