Job SummaryThe Operations Analyst is responsible for gathering, tracking, and analyzing financial and operational/maintenance data and converting it into useful management information. The role supports budget performance, financial analysis, operational reporting, equipment performance, incident tracking, and special projects.
Job Description- O&M budget performance (actual versus plan with variance explanations)
- Annual budget preparations (Hyperion)
- System availability (downtime)
- Employee performance (overtime, days off, etc.)
- Incident tracking (safety, environmental, regulatory, compliance)
- Identifying ways to spend more efficiently
- Assisting in reviewing rate sheets to invoices
- Coordinating the integration of redlines into design services and tracking the progress
- Ensuring the MOCs are moving forward for Maintenance activities
- Equipment performance (failures)
- Management information in the form of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to corporate and field management
- Special projects and reports
- Minimum of 1-3 years financial analysis experience
- Experience at an intermediate level in Microsoft applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Outlook, and Project - A minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or commensurate work experience is preferred
- Midstream energy business (gathering and processing, pipeline, fractionation or storage) or related field is preferred
- Ability to quickly learn new applications such as PowerBI, Oracle, PI, and others
- Ability to interpret, organize, chart, graph, and present large amounts of data into useful management information
- Must be self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred
