A Patrol Officer for the White Oak Police Department performs essential law enforcement duties, patrolling assigned areas to prevent crime, protect life and property, and maintain public order, respond to emergency calls, conduct preliminary investigations, make arrests, and enforce traffic laws. Key duties include documenting incidents in detailed reports, testifying in court, and engaging with the community.
Pay and Benefits- Base pay - $26.09/hr. ($56,980 annually)
- Approximate yearly average of $4,500 additional for holiday pay (depends on schedule)
- Night shift differential $0.50 per hour
- 12 paid holidays – 12 hours or double time-and-a-half if worked
- Certificate pay (paid yearly) – Intermediate: $600, Advanced: $1,200, Master's: $1,800
- Longevity pay
- Annual cost‑of‑living raises
- 100% paid health insurance for employee, 50% for dependents
- Retirement 7% matched 2:1 by the city

High School Diploma/G.E.D., Valid Driver's License, TCOLE certified Peace Officer, Experience preferred but not required
