- $10,000 for certified officers (no experience required)
- $15,000 for qualifying lateral transfers
Applicants must be TCOLE certified as a Peace Officer and must pass a written and physical fitness test. All testing will be waived if currently employed as a full‑time Texas Peace Officer. Any certified candidate who is not employed as a full‑time Texas Peace Officer will be required to participate in the written and physical fitness test.
