Summary of OpportunityThe Occupational Therapist (OT) provides specialized services to support the academic success, independence, and overall well-being of students with disabilities or developmental delays. The OT evaluates students' needs, develops individualized intervention plans, and collaborates with teachers, staff, and families to ensure access to the educational environment in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or higher) from an accredited program
- Current Texas OT license; NBCOT certification preferred
- School based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and ADA in educational settings
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with the ARD/IEP team
- Provide direct and consultative OT services in individual, group, and classroom settings
- Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral-health and special education.
