- Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures.
- Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
- Performs tests for in‑patients and out‑patients.
- Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
- Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
- Demonstrates industry knowledge in radiation safety.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
- ACLS must be completed within 6 months of hire.
- State Registered Radiologic Technician.
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) – AART (NM).
- NMTCB PET Certification preferred.
