Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Ensure patient safety and appropriate care planning according to the Texas Nursing Practice Act, delegating tasks based on condition and team competencies.

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs. Create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Build therapeutic relationships, manage discomfort, and maintain professionalism.
• Help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members, empowering them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
• Co‑operate with colleagues and community partners to develop and follow up on care plans. Delegate tasks carefully and monitor outcomes.
• Use various problem‑solving strategies, recognizing limits and prioritizing safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Work team‑based to meet goals, recognize contributions, and commit to growth and community service.

• Deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, and guidelines, as well as hospital policies.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and patient safety and privacy ethics.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Basic computer skills:
  Microsoft Office, electronic medical documentation, scheduling, and email.

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license in Texas.
• Will have or obtain BLS certification within 30 days of starting.
