About this positionHalcyon Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to support our growing geriatric home health population in Kyle or Buda, TX, and the surrounding area. We offer competitive pay and wonderful team support.
Key Responsibilities- Administers the occupational therapy treatment plan as developed by the OTR.
- Assess and facilitate therapeutic interventions for range of motion, strength, coordination, adaptive equipment, and functional mobility.
- Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients.
- Facilitates patients' ROM, strength and coordination, use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications for functional mobility and safety issues as related to patients' ADL performance needs under the supervision of the OTR.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare practitioners involved in the patient’s care.
- Participate in the Agency’s QAPI program and in-service training.
- Meet continuing education requirements and demonstrate professional growth and competency.
- Promote the Agency’s philosophy and policies to ensure high‑quality care.
- Apply concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease.

Requirements- Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current Texas State License to practice occupational therapy.
- Knowledge or experience utilizing Homecare Homebase EMR would be a plus.
- Minimum of one year experience as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred.
- Minimum of one year of home health care experience.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with the elderly.
- Strong clinical and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
