Patient Engagement Specialist

Premier Family Physicians has been serving Austin families for more than 35 years. Our practice prioritizes personalized, relationship‑driven service and continuity of care across five locations with extended hours.

• Checking patients in/out
• Verifying insurance and collecting patient payments
• Processing referrals, pre‑authorizations, and radiology orders
• Answering inbound patient calls for scheduling, general medical questions, and coordination of patient needs
• Managing medical provider schedules, including rescheduling and cancellations as requested
• Triage patient calls to assess severity and appropriate action
• Maintaining website appointment requests and custom form support
• Serving as a resource for staff on website questions and issues
• Assisting patients with website and EMR issues
• Communicating lab, radiology, and other results to patients
• Forwarding provider messages and instructions
• Refilling medications per protocol

Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday‑Friday

Location: 170 Benney Ln Suite 200, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Dependable and punctual
• Desire to serve patients
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Typing speed of 40–50 words per minute
• One year experience with Athena EMR (preferred)
• Must be able to commute to Dripping Springs, TX 78620

• Medical Assistant Diploma & Certification
• Experience using an electronic medical record
• Experience in a primary‑care setting
