Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular ICU

Provides specialized cardiac and medical-surgical nursing care in a private unit, managing post‑operative cardiac patients, those with cardiothoracic procedures, and general medical‑surgical patients with cardiac needs. Emphasizes early detection of medical issues, patient and family education, wound care, medication management, and lab analysis.

Practices independently, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Addresses patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, and delegates tasks appropriately. Maintains accurate documentation and administers treatments per protocols, monitoring for side‑effects and effectiveness.

Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred), at least one year of relevant experience, and valid RN licensure with BLS and ACLS certifications. All new hires participate in orientation and competency validation. The role requires ongoing skill development, adherence to standards, and effective communication within a collaborative environment.
