Direct Support Professional (Entry‑Level)

Action Behavior Centers hires caring individuals to help children with autism build communication, social, and independent skills.

Position Details
  • Schedule:

    Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm (no nights; optional Saturdays as needed).
  • Position type:
    Full‑time.
  • Location:

    1605 East Borgfeld Drive, San Antonio, TX 78260.

    Immediate openings available.

Training and Certification
  • No prior experience required.
  • Paid training and full coverage of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Pay ranges based on education and ABA experience:
    • High school / Associate’s Degree: $15–$22.50 per hour.
    • Bachelor’s Degree: $15–$24 per hour.
    • Master’s Degree: $16–$26 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Work one‑on‑one with children ages 18 months to 8 years using play‑based ABA therapy.
  • Follow personalized treatment plans and collect session data.
  • Help children learn through play, movement, reading, games, and hands‑on activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
  • Stay active and engaged throughout therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team focused on helping kids grow and succeed.
  • Optional: support a nearby ABC clinic if additional coverage is needed.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Comfortable with sitting, standing, crouching, and getting on/off the floor frequently.
  • Must maintain an active pace while working with young children.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to complete paid RBT certification within 20 days of hire.
  • Team mindset; may support nearby ABC clinic as needed.
Growth Opportunities
  • Behavior Therapists may advance into Clinical Administrators, Operations Managers, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA).
