Job SummaryPerforms highly complex substance use counseling work. Work involves treatment, rehabilitation, and reentry for rehabilitating inmates in a substance use treatment or rehabilitation program; and training others. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Functions- Interview, screen, and assess inmates for service needs and potential program participation; develop and implement treatment plans; participate in educational groups; and develop a reentry plan in compliance with Substance Use Treatment Program standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Provide substance use counseling and recovery skills training; monitor the operation of peer support and twelve-step recovery groups; and compile related data and documentation.
- Compile data and prepare and submit correspondence, reports, and other documents; maintain inmate records and reports pertaining to services provided, inmate progress, and workload statistics.
- Conduct substance use program orientation sessions; conduct training programs, workshops, and seminars; and present educational programs on substance use.
- Implement follow-up, after care, and reentry plans for inmates that participate in the program prior to their release; make relevant appointments and disseminate information on community resources for inmate placement in follow‑up treatment.
- Present programming, training, education, clinical groups and sessions via virtual platform as required.

SalarySalary: $3,800.80 (RET 2.5% Less)
