Responsibilities
- Support development and implementation of strategic engagement plans to build relationships with KOLs, Infectious Disease providers and other stakeholders, and medical societies in the Infectious Disease and Microbiology field
- Support implementation and execution of strategic education and training plans for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with execution and maintenance of clinical study and research initiatives
- Act as a scientific authority and engage in scientific exchange for Infectious Disease and Microbiology, streamlining complex scientific information and delivering medical and scientific education and training to internal and external collaborators
- Stay current on Infectious Disease and Microbiology clinical practice trends and diagnostic innovation, prepare materials for presentations, and participate in scientific symposia, conferences, and educational programs
- 9+ years of experience and Bachelor’s degree, or 7+ years of experience and a Master’s degree, or 4+ years of experience and a doctorate degree. Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in a Medical Affairs/Medical Science Liaison or Clinical Practice preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of clinical and laboratory practice in the testing, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.
- Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies, regulatory or laboratory standards guidelines and medical terminology.
- Proven track record to establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, providers, laboratorians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
Ability to travel a minimum of 20-25% of the time (domestic and international)
Preferred Experience- 8+ years of domain knowledge of healthcare technologies and clinical practice trends
- 5+ years’ MSL experience working in the medical technology, medical device, or IVD industry in Medical and Scientific or Clinical Affairs roles
- Advanced Degree:
PhD, MPH, PharmD, RN, MHA or similar
This position may be fully remote in designated territory, working remotely to cover a global business area. Beckman Coulter has a major site presence in South Florida, Southern California, Hebron Kentucky, and Minneapolis Minnesota, as well as major hubs in Europe and Asia.
Salary & BenefitsAnnual salary range: $160,000 – $190,000. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) for eligible employees.
