Jr. Lab Technician

The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a safe, accurate, and professional manner. The role requires maintaining high standards of patient care, proper sample handling, and coordination with the laboratory team to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic testing.

• Collect blood samples from patients using standard phlebotomy techniques.
• Ensure correct patient identification before sample collection.
• Label and handle samples accurately to avoid errors.
• Maintain hygiene, infection control, and safety protocols during procedures.
• Provide a comfortable and supportive experience to patients during sample collection.
• Maintain proper documentation and update patient records.
• Coordinate with the laboratory team for timely processing of samples.
• Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste as per guidelines.
• Maintain and check phlebotomy equipment and supplies.
• Follow hospital policies and quality standards.

• Strong customer centric approach and patient handling skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of sample collection procedures and safety protocols
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

• DMLT / BMLT / CMLT from a recognized institute
• Certification in Phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Technology preferred

• 0–2 years of experience in pathology lab / diagnostic centre / hospital
• Experience in blood sample collection and laboratory procedures preferred
