Job Title
Position will counsel and aid individuals and families requiring assistance dealing with substance abuse problems.
Interviews clients, reviews records, performs assessments and screenings, and confers with other professionals to evaluate condition of the client. Position counsels clients individually or in group sessions to assist client in overcoming chemical dependency or abuse. Position provides skills training and modeling for clients. Complete documentation of all activities provided. This position will conduct substance abuse didactic and education for clients and the general
Skills required position requires exceptional written and oral communication skills. Must be able to adhere to procedures while working in an independent environment. Ability to follow through on all projects is a must. Must be a self-starter. Excellent documentation skills a must. Must be able to manage negative behavior in a positive manner and communicate with clients in an appropriate, understandable, non-judgmental and non-threatening manner.
Must have good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to keep up-to-date and factual documentation relating to all aspects of program including; client files, incident reports, daily logs, van logs, communication logs, medication logs.
