Job Purpose And Summary

Responsibilities- Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation and support pharmacists to manage patient health
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pickup, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, creating personalized moments, offering immunizations, and providing compassionate care in resolving patient problems
- Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by leadership, such as accurate medication putaway, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stock, and waiting‑bin inventories
- Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and be receptive to feedback while seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs and volunteer to travel to stores in the market to work shifts as needed
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles, ensuring patient safety, controlled‑substance compliance, and privacy protection
- Provide additional patient health care services such as immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, or voluntarily staffing off‑site clinics where allowed by law and supported by training and certification
- Complete additional licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status for vaccine preparation and administration
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and refer vaccination questions to the pharmacist on duty
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions, reporting events per public health requirements
- Review patient information and document vaccine administration for each applicable patient
- Monitor and manage vaccine supplies
- Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including minimum age and educational requirements (at least 16 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent if not mandated)
- State‑level licensure and national certification as required by state regulations
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Complete required training within the designated timeframe
- Concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly to meet patient and business needs
- Confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety
- Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner, noticing and understanding patient reactions and responding appropriately
- Use verbal and written communication effectively with patients and colleagues, employing active listening and appropriate questioning
- Apply mathematical reasoning to problems such as calculating tablets, supplies, and bottle quantities for prescriptions
- Resolve challenging patient or colleague interactions by selecting the best course of action among options
- Demonstrate physical capabilities such as mobility, lifting (up to 20 lbs), scanning, bagging, reaching, and operating machines with precision; maintain visual acuity for transcribing and computer use
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors or managers
- 1‑3 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store and across market locations as needed
