Work Overview

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care according to the patients' individual physician orders. Patient care may involve evaluations, administering treatments and therapies, care planning, communication with other members of the patients multi-disciplinary team, emergency management, coordination of care, health promotion and teaching and training family members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Occupational Therapy services as prescribed by the patients physician
  • Maintain a full time caseload of at least 30 visits weekly
  • Complete evaluations for assistants in surrounding areas
  • Provide a written evaluation defining Occupational Therapy needs, goals and expected outcome in conjunction with referring physicians plan of treatment
  • Follow policies and procedures and adheres to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations and state laws
  • Develop a written plan of care for Occupational Therapy with reasonable goals and outcomes
  • Maintain patient and company confidentiality
  • Maintain effective communication between staff, health care team members, and family
  • Refer patients when appropriate to additional educational or medical services
  • Participate in coordination of services (including discharge planning), with healthcare team, physicians, patient/guardians, nurses and others

Requirements
  • Master's degree
  • Active Occupational Therapy state of Texas license
  • Experience with pediatrics and with pediatrics with developmental disabilities
  • Great customer service skills
