We’re hiring a Part‑Time Flight Paramedic to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. The role requires two 24‑hour shifts per week, includes company‑paid crew housing while on shift, and offers a starting pay range of $21.34–$40.99 per hour, depending on experience, plus a $12,500 annual area stipend.
Responsibilities- Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
- Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
- Provide pre‑hospital and intra‑hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility, maintaining thorough documentation.
- Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
- Document required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
- Operate and routinely maintain all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
- Build positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
- Serve as a medical flight member, attending pre‑mission briefings and mission debriefing, and completing necessary documentation.
- Assist with pre‑mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance when needed (e.g., radio, navigation, visual observation).
- Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff.
- Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
- Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
- Current EMT‑P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and trauma certification required prior to flight status.
- Flight Paramedic‑Certified (FP‑C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
- NREMT‑P certification may be required in the assigned area.
