Position: Travel Physical Therapist - $1,784 per week
Location: Chandler

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Chandler, Texas, beginning 10 August 2026. This travel role will be 40 hours per week on 8‑hour days.

Required Qualifications
  • Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in physical therapy
  • Experience in physical therapy; new graduates welcome
  • Additional certifications or licenses as required
Summary

The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. They work in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, creating personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to high‑quality, safe patient care.

Work Functions
  • Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs.
  • Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain.
  • Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
  • Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques.
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices.
  • Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued progress.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Required Essential Skills
