Location: Willow Park

Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Willow Park, TX
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
No weekends or on-call
Compensation: Based on experience

Requirements
  • Current ARDMS certification
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of ultrasound safety standards, procedures, and equipment
  • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
Position Summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in an outpatient imaging environment. The ideal candidate will prioritize patient safety, education, comfort, and excellent image quality.

Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Verify patient identity, review orders, and obtain relevant medical history.
  • Explain procedures, answer questions, and help reduce patient anxiety.
  • Properly position patients and adjust equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Evaluate images for quality and completeness before concluding each examination.
  • Accurately document patient care and examination details in the RIS/PACS.
  • Maintain patient privacy and comply with HIPAA requirements.
  • Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and emergency-response policies.
  • Perform required equipment quality-control checks and report malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, coworkers, and referring offices to support efficient patient care.
  • Assist with other related duties as needed.

Salary: Dependent on experience
