Physical Therapy Assistant – LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) travel assignment in Goldthwaite, Texas, United States.

Start date:

07/27/2026. 13‑week contract with a weekly pay range of $1,501 to $1,597. Shift: 5x8 Days. This assignment is in a therapy center providing outpatient‑level rehab services with an adult‑focused population and some younger patients. The position is offered through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
  • Assist a licensed PT in implementing individualized treatment plans for adults, with occasional adolescent patients, in an outpatient setting
  • Lead or support therapeutic exercises, gait training, ROM, strengthening, balance activities, and functional mobility tasks under supervision
  • Prepare treatment spaces and equipment; apply modalities as directed; ensure patient safety and comfort during interventions
  • Monitor patient responses, document progress notes, and report changes or concerns to supervising PT promptly
  • Support discharge planning and home‑program coaching to promote continuity of care between visits
  • Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to infection control standards, and uphold patient privacy and ethical care practices
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate scheduling, goals, and progress for each patient
Requirements
  • Ability to work in an outpatient rehabilitation setting and support adults with occasional younger patients
  • Willingness to work Monday through Friday, with a consistent daytime schedule
  • Adequate communication skills to coordinate with patients, families, and supervising clinicians
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and document patient progress under supervision
  • Capacity to comply with credentialing, licensure, and employer policies as required for the role
