Lab Corp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Groveton, TX (75845).
Work Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm;
Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm (additional hours may be requested as needed).
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Process billing information and collect payments when required.
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- Provide superior customer service to all patients.
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
- Travel to additional sites when needed; reliable transportation required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment.
- 6 months or more assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric).
- Current or prior Lab Corp experience.
- In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment.
- Exceptional customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
