Overview

Radiology Supervisor – Radiology. Responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the overall operation of the Imaging/Radiology Services Department. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards across all age groups, from newborns to the elderly. Ensures smooth patient flow throughout the day. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in quality improvement activities. Ensures staff competency, formulates the budget, and maintains efficient and compliant department operations with accrediting organizations and applicable regulations.

Develops, implements and reviews department policies.

• Plan, organize and supervise the overall operation of the Imaging/Radiology Services Department.
• Ensure adherence to patient care quality standards for all age groups and maintain smooth patient flow.

• AAS degree or hospital-based training certification required. Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• Graduation from an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
• Administrative/Supervisory experience preferred.
• At least five (5) active years in a department with diagnostic and special procedures experience.
• Current membership and active participation in the Radiologic Technologist professional organization.
• Certified by the State of Texas to practice and administer radiation.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers certification required.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
• Computer knowledge necessary, including proficiency in Word and Windows.
