Speech Therapist

Speech Therapy at Sterling County Nursing Home located at 309 5th St, Sterling City, TX 76951, provides short- and long-term nursing and rehabilitation services to the senior population. The in‑house therapy team offers smaller daily caseloads, emphasizes optimizing time with patients, handles high acuity cases, and supports program and certification development.

• Develop and implement Speech Therapy plans of care for facility residents and short-term patients. If certified as a cfy
  , work under supervision of the SLP clinical supervisor.
• Assist with patient screenings for Speech Therapy.
• Communicate progress and any barriers toward SLP goals with interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete timely Speech Therapy documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, facility, and payor requirements.
• Assist with maintaining the rehab gym equipment and treatment area safely, using proper infection prevention methods.
• Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each patient’s specific plan of care and recommendations for follow‑up.
• Maintain productivity standards as expected by the Director of Rehab or Administrator.

• Current Texas licensure as a Speech Therapist or Speech Therapy CFY.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
