We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Licensed Medical Aesthetician / Laser Specialist to join our high-end plastic surgery practice and luxury med spa at The Lind Institute of Plastic Surgery.
Led by Dr. Lind, a globally recognized leader in aesthetic surgery, our practice attracts patients seeking precision, refinement, and an elevated experience. We are looking for someone who is polished, confident, results-driven, and highly skilled in advanced aesthetic treatments. This is not an entry-level role. We are seeking a provider who can step into a sophisticated, high-end environment and deliver exceptional care, strong treatment outcomes, and a polished patient experience.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with advanced aesthetic devices and corrective skincare treatments, including Halo, Morpheus8, microneedling, and other laser or energy-based procedures. This person must be comfortable educating patients, recommending treatment plans and skincare, and working within a luxury, medically supervised aesthetic setting where professionalism, presentation, and patient trust matter.
Position Summary
The Licensed Medical Aesthetician / Laser Specialist performs professional skincare and device-based aesthetic treatments in accordance with state law, office protocols, physician oversight, and accepted standards of practice. This role includes facials, chemical peels, Hydrafacial, microneedling, and advanced laser or energy-based treatments for appropriate candidates.
This position also plays an important role in the overall patient experience by delivering high-touch service, educating patients, guiding treatment decisions, supporting retail skincare recommendations, and helping patients feel confident in both the process and their results.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform professional skincare treatments in accordance with office protocols, licensure, and accepted standards of practice
- Perform advanced aesthetic treatments including Halo, Morpheus8, microneedling, and other laser or energy-based procedures within training, competency, and practice protocols
- Evaluate patients for treatment appropriateness, contraindications, and pre- and post-care needs
- Educate patients on treatment expectations, downtime, aftercare, maintenance, and home skincare regimens
- Recommend appropriate treatment plans, skincare products, packages, and service enhancements to support patient goals
- Provide a polished, attentive, and high-touch patient experience throughout every interaction
- Thoroughly document patient treatments, recommendations, settings, and conversations in a timely manner
- Maintain complete knowledge of all services, products, and practice offerings
- Maintain treatment room cleanliness, sanitation, stocking, and equipment care
- Follow all safety protocols, device standards, and office procedures related to aesthetic treatments
- Support room turnover and daily clinical flow
- Assist with rooming and preparing patients for treatment when needed
- Maintain a working knowledge of both aesthetic and medical services offered by the practice and guide patients to the best service for their goals
- Handle patient questions and concerns professionally, courteously, and confidently
- Attend trainings, meetings, in-services, and continuing education as required
- Support other areas of business operation as requested by management
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas aesthetician license in good standing
- Active Texas laser hair removal certificate required, if applicable to services performed
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a medical spa, aesthetic, dermatology, or plastic surgery practice
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience performing laser and energy-based treatments in a medical aesthetic setting
- Demonstrated treatment experience with Halo, Morpheus8, microneedling, or comparable resurfacing and skin remodeling platforms
- Strong knowledge of skin health, contraindications, treatment planning, pre-care, aftercare, and patient safety
- Experience recommending treatment plans and medical-grade skincare products
- Excellent communication, listening, and customer service skills
- Professional, polished, and confident patient-facing presence
- Ability to thrive in a sophisticated, high-end aesthetic setting
- Strong time management, cleanliness, and documentation skills
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a plastic surgery or luxury aesthetic setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with laser safety protocols and device documentation
- Prior Laser Safety Officer responsibilities or training preferred, if applicable to the role
- Public-facing professional social media presence preferred
