jim taliaferro community mental health center is seeking a dedicated and experienced licensure candidate/licensed behavioral health professional (lcbhp/lbhp) team lead to provide clinical leadership for our program of assertive community treatment (pact) team.

about the position: the licensure candidate/licensed behavioral health professional team lead supervises the general oversight and direction of clinical team. This position establishes, administers, and directs the program of assertive community treatment (pact), a self-contained clinical team which assumes responsibility for directly providing needed treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to identified clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses; supervises and evaluates the multidisciplinary team in conjunction with appropriate psychiatric support to ensure service excellence and courteous, helpful, and respectful services to program clients;

and functions as a practicing clinician on the team.

• annual salary is $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 (based on dmh experience and certifications)

• lbhp: master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related field; and must be a practitioner with a license to practice in the state issued by one of the following licensure boards: psychology; social work (clinical specialty only); professional counselor; marriage and family therapist; behavioral practitioner; or alcohol and drug counselor. (lcsw, lpc, lmft, lbp, ladc, ladc/mh).
• lcbhp: master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related field; and must be actively and regularly receiving board approved supervision, extended supervision by a fully licensed clinician if board’s supervision requirement is met but the individual is not yet licensed, to become licensed by one of the following licensure boards: psychology, social work (clinical specialty only); professional counselor; marriage and family therapist;
  
  behavioral practitioner or alcohol and drug counselor.

• willing to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with position, e.g., attend training etc. Must maintain a valid driver’s license; and
• position requires participation in on-call rotation unless exempted by executive director.
• some positions may provide preference to candidates meeting licensed mental health professional (lmhp) status as defined in title 43a 1-103(11).
