AVIR at Post is seeking a compassionate and motivated Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP seeking flexible scheduling while providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive rehabilitation environment.
Position ResponsibilitiesEvaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals.
Provide skilled speech-language therapy services in accordance with physician orders and applicable regulations.
Address communication, cognition, swallowing, and other areas within the SLP's scope of practice.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
Complete timely and accurate documentation, including evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge recommendations.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, safety strategies, communication techniques, and swallowing precautions.
Collaborate with nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Follow facility policies, professional standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Master's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of Texas
.Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility as applicable.
Current CPR certification or ability to obtain as required.
Previous experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
