Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Lead to oversee daily operations in a high-volume clinical laboratory supporting hospitals, physicians, and patients. This role coordinates testing workflows, monitors quality and turnaround times, and ensures compliance with CLIA and other regulatory standards. The Lead mentors and schedules staff, troubleshoots complex testing issues, and partners with pathologists and clinicians to support accurate, timely results.
Ideal candidates bring strong technical lab expertise, attention to detail, and a collaborative, patient-focused mindset aligned with CPL's quality-driven culture.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day clinical laboratory operations and testing workflows
- Monitor turnaround times, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance (CLIA and related standards)
- Coordinate scheduling, workload distribution, and staffing for lab teams
- Mentor, train, and support laboratory staff to ensure competency and performance
- Troubleshoot complex testing, instrumentation, and specimen issues
- Ensure accurate documentation, quality control, and adherence to SOPs
- Collaborate with pathologists, clinicians, and other stakeholders on testing needs
- Identify and drive process and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency
- Maintain a safe laboratory environment aligned with OSHA and infection control standards
- Support implementation of new tests, technologies, and quality initiatives
