Job Summary

Sterling County Nursing Home, a provider of short- and long-term nursing and rehabilitation services, is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN to join our team in Sterling City, Texas. As a Physical Therapist PRN, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement personalized Physical Therapy plans of care for facility residents and short-term patients, while providing supervision and training to staff Physical Therapy Assistants.

Job Summary

Sterling County Nursing Home, a provider of short- and long-term nursing and rehabilitation services, is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN to join our team in Sterling City, Texas. As a Physical Therapist PRN, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement personalized Physical Therapy plans of care for facility residents and short-term patients, while providing supervision and training to staff Physical Therapy Assistants.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Physical Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients
  • Provide supervision, as needed, for staff Physical Therapy Assistants in delivery of the PT plans of care
  • Assist as needed with patient screenings for the need for Physical Therapy
  • Communicate progress and any barriers toward PT goals with interdisciplinary team members
  • Complete timely PT documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, and payor requirements
  • Assist with maintaining both the rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner, using good infection prevention methods
  • Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each PT patient’s specific plan of care and recommendations for follow-up
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
  • Current Texas licensure as Physical Therapist
  • Current CPR certification preferred
