Job Summary:

Avir at Camp Wood is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Activity Director (LTC/SNF) to join our dynamic team. As a Certified Activity Director, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing meaningful activities that promote socialization, engagement, and overall well-being. Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, and entertainment programs, in a Long-Term Care (LTC) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive environment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized activity plans that meet the unique needs and abilities of each resident
  • Conduct pre-activity assessments to identify and accommodate resident needs and limitations
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make adjustments as necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules
  • Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to the development of individualized care plans
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Certified Activity Director (CAD) in the state of Texas
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field
