Senior Financial Navigating Specialist

• Guide patients through their financial journey from admission through post-discharge
• Review benefits and estimate out-of-pocket costs
• Facilitate payment arrangements and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements
• Screen patients for Medicaid and/or financial assistance eligibility
• Calculate patient liability estimates and collect payments at point of service
• Address billing and coverage inquiries and maintain accurate account documentation
• Provide education and problem resolution to improve patient experience and financial performance
• Monitor trends, prepare operational reports, and support process improvement initiatives
• Meet productivity and department KPIs
• Triage patient financial questions and ensure resolution while in-house
• Connect face-to-face with patients throughout their care journey
• Escalate identified financial process gaps
• Communicate and collaborate with case management, social workers, physician liaisons, and other personnel
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 3 to 5 years of job experience
• Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience
• Experience in multiple areas of the revenue cycle is preferred, including financial counseling, customer service, public benefits/Medicaid advocacy/eligibility, state case/eligibility specialist, or other applicable roles
• Prior Patient Access or physician-based experience is a plus
• Must be inquisitive and open to innovation, including AI
• Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and knowledge of all Revenue Cycle areas and processes
• Must reside and be authorized to work within the United States

Demonstrates expertise in financial counseling and revenue cycle management, with a strong focus on patient education, compliance, and problem resolution. Proficient in analyzing patient financial needs and facilitating payment arrangements while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
