Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred; 6–10 years of experience in systems engineering, networking, or infrastructure operations.

Job Description
  • The Infrastructure & Systems Engineer supports core infrastructure operations, systems administration, networking, CSV activities, and IT purchasing and vendor management.
  • This role provides Tier 2–3 technical expertise across servers, virtualization, backup systems, security, and identity tools, while coordinating closely with Global HQ on network and security platforms.
  • The position also manages Call Center operations within Nextiva / 9

    Five, including configuration, call routing, queue logic, IVR adjustments, agent provisioning, analytics, and troubleshooting.
  • This role supports office, warehouse, R&D, manufacturing, and remote Sales teams across the US and Canada.
  • This position is based onsite in Westlake, TX; remote work is not permitted.
Responsibilities
1. Core Functional Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 2–3 support for servers, virtualization (Nutanix), infrastructure services, and Windows-based environments.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery (DR) processes using Veeam.
  • Troubleshoot system performance, monitoring alerts, patch cycles, and configuration issues.
  • Support network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, cabling, and IP assignments (with escalation to HQ for advanced routing/firewall work).
  • Support Sales/Field employees across the US and Canada with infrastructure and connectivity issues.
  • Image, configure, and deploy computers using KACE, maintaining lifecycle and asset inventory accuracy.
2. Call Center Management – Nextiva / 9

  • Administer and support Nextiva / 9

    Five Call Center systems including:
  • Call queues, routing rules, and skill‑based distribution
  • IVR configuration and menu logic
  • Agent provisioning and role assignments
  • Call recordings, quality checks, and feature enablement
  • Dashboard and analytics reporting
  • Troubleshooting call quality, connectivity, or routing issues
  • Work with business stakeholders to refine call flows, enable new features, and support performance monitoring.
3. IT Purchasing & Vendor Management
  • Manage Capex and Opex purchasing for IT hardware, software, licensing, and infrastructure tooling.
  • Own supplier coordination including quotes, renewals, support escalations, order tracking, and SLA adherence.
  • Maintain cost documentation, requisitions, purchase justifications, and financial alignment.
  • Partner with Finance and Procurement to optimize spend and maintain compliance.
4. Systems, Cloud, and Digital Enablement
  • Apply working knowledge of:
    • Google Workspace
    • AWS fundamentals
    • Cloud technologies
    • AI (Gemini) for troubleshooting, knowledge enhancement, and small automation tasks
  • Support identity lifecycle management (Okta/SSO/MFA) and endpoint protection tools.
5. Compliance, CSV, Security & Documentation
  • Participate in Computer System Validation (CSV) including writing documentation, executing tests, capturing evidence, and supporting change control.
  • Ensure alignment with GxP, CSV, FDA, and ITIL process expectations.
  • Maintain infrastructure diagrams, SOPs, configuration histories, and system documentation.
  • Support audit readiness and regulated system requirements.
6. Continuous Improvement
  • Provide recommendations for monitoring improvements, automation opportunities, and system efficiency gains.
  • Support lifecycle upgrades and capacity planning for servers, networking equipment, and infrastructure services.
  • Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for infrastructure issues.
Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills
  • 6–10 years of experience in systems engineering, networking, or infrastructure operations.
