Senior Network Engineer – CPE C3N SEPM – Fort Bliss, TX

Qualifications
  • Education:

    BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field (Preferred)
  • Experience:

    Minimum 10 years as a Network Engineer within the Department of Defense environment. An accredited academic year in a related program may substitute for one year of experience.
Responsibilities
  • Performance Monitoring – Monitor network engineering performance to ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Configuration and Installation – Configure and install routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS settings.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades – Perform network maintenance, system upgrades, applying service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
  • Resource Utilization – Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning to optimize network performance.
  • Change Management – Follow established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes.
  • Vendor Liaison – Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and technical support.
Additional Information
  • Senior Network Engineer typically works on high‑visibility or mission‑critical aspects and performs all functional duties independently.
  • May oversee less senior staff and/or be responsible for the overall efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
