Position: Technical Account Manager, (Trading Platforms)
Location: Anson

Client introduction

A growing financial services organisation is looking to hire Technical Account Manager (Trading Platforms) to support its trading platform and client solutions function.

This role sits close to the front-office and client-facing teams, working with Relationship Managers, external clients, technology teams, and third-party vendors to ensure trading platforms are properly implemented, configured, tested, and supported.

The successful candidate will play an important bridging role between business users and technical teams, helping clients resolve platform-related issues, supporting new client onboarding, and ensuring trading technology solutions are delivered smoothly.

Job Responsibilities
  • Act as the key bridge between Relationship Managers, clients, vendors, and internal IT teams on trading platform matters.
  • Understand client issues or requirements relating to trading systems, platform access, connectivity, configuration, and system setup.
  • Translate business or client requirements into clear technical instructions for internal IT teams and external vendors.
  • Support onboarding and implementation of trading platforms for new and existing clients.
  • Coordinate with third-party trading platform providers and exchange/connectivity vendors to ensure smooth platform setup and integration.
  • Assist with system connectivity, data flow, platform configuration, SFTP setup, colocation‑related matters, and other trading technology requirements.
  • Help troubleshoot client issues by working with IT teams and vendors, then validating the fix before reverting to the client or Relationship Manager.
  • Conduct testing and quality checks for platform changes, server issues, configuration updates, and client‑facing trading functions.
  • Prepare simple user guides, step‑by‑step instructions, and client documentation for platform usage.
  • Conduct occasional client training sessions, especially for newly onboarded clients using trading platforms.
  • Support ad hoc trading technology projects, including platform enhancements, vendor requirements, and new product/system rollouts.
Job Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in trading technology, financial software implementation, trading platform support, technical account management, or related roles.
  • Prior experience within brokerage, capital markets, trading platforms, exchanges, fintech, financial software vendors, or financial institutions would be highly relevant.
  • Good understanding of trading platforms, order/execution workflows, OMS/EMS, market data, trading connectivity, APIs, FIX protocol, or related trading infrastructure.
  • Able to work with both business and technical stakeholders, including Relationship Managers, clients, IT teams, project managers, and vendors.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability, especially in understanding client issues, identifying the right technical stakeholders, and following through until resolution.
  • Comfortable with testing, troubleshooting, and validating fixes before communicating updates back to business users or clients.
  • Knowledge of platforms such as KTrader, TT, Stellar, Maxx Trader, or other equities, futures, FX, or derivatives trading platforms would be useful.
  • Familiarity with connectivity concepts such as SFTP, colocation, exchange connectivity, platform configuration, or vendor integration would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non‑technical stakeholders and clients.
