Position OverviewThe Windows Support team provides industry leading support to HI-TEX Solutions customers as part of a collaborative service organization supporting diverse environments across the United States. Our team works across small business, mid market, and enterprise customer environments supporting modern Microsoft infrastructure, virtualization platforms, cloud services, cybersecurity initiatives, and compliance driven technology operations.
The Windows Systems Administrator Level 3 serves as a senior technical resource responsible for advanced troubleshooting, infrastructure engineering, cloud administration, systems security, automation, and technical leadership. This role is responsible for resolving complex technical escalations, leading infrastructure projects, mentoring junior engineers, and helping standardize and improve technical operations across customer environments.
The ideal candidate is highly experienced with Microsoft technologies, hybrid cloud infrastructure, virtualization, automation, cybersecurity, and compliance focused environments.
Key Responsibilities Advanced Technical Support & Escalation- Serve as the senior escalation point for advanced infrastructure and systems related incidents
- Diagnose and resolve complex Windows server, networking, virtualization, cloud, and application issues
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, authentication issues, replication problems, storage concerns, and infrastructure instability
- Provide root cause analysis and long term remediation recommendations
- Maintain ownership and communication throughout the incident lifecycle
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments across customer infrastructures
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, print services, and Microsoft core infrastructure services
- Support and optimize hybrid identity environments utilizing Active Directory and Microsoft Entra
- Configure and manage Microsoft 365 platforms including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and security integrations
- Implement and maintain Microsoft Intune, Conditional Access, endpoint security policies, and device compliance standards
- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Hyper V and VMware environments
- Support Azure infrastructure, AWS infrastructure, cloud migrations, and hybrid cloud environments
- Assist with infrastructure modernization initiatives including server migrations, virtualization projects, storage upgrades, and tenant consolidations
- Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup validation processes
- Assist in maintaining secure and scalable infrastructure standards across managed environments
- Participate in cybersecurity hardening initiatives and compliance related projects
- Support customer environments subject to frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, CJIS, and security best practices
- Assist with implementation and management of endpoint security, MFA, Conditional Access, and security monitoring solutions
- Participate in remediation of vulnerabilities, security incidents, and audit findings
- Contribute to maintaining secure operational standards across client environments
- Develop and maintain Power Shell scripts and automation workflows
- Contribute to proactive maintenance and operational efficiency initiatives
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and implementation procedures
- Identify opportunities for automation and standardization across customer environments
- Mentor and support Level 1 and Level 2 administrators
- Participate in technical training initiatives and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with project teams, account management, security teams, and leadership
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across service delivery operations
- Support a culture of accountability, professionalism, and customer success
- Advanced experience administering Windows Server environments
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft server technologies
