Position: Senior UI/UX Consultant ( 6-month fixed- term contract)

At Qualco Group, we empower the financial world with innovative technology. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior UI/UX Manager to join our team. The role leads the design and digital experience workstream for Q-EFP, Qualco's embedded credit infrastructure platform, across web and mobile channels. The role owns the full UX/UI lifecycle: interpreting platform architecture documentation, applying AI-assisted workflows to synthesize flows and journey logic, producing production‑ready Figma assets, securing stakeholder approvals, and handing off implementation‑ready materials to engineering.

The role operates with high autonomy in a lean delivery environment, working directly with Q-EFP Product, Technology, Operations, and Compliance functions, and partnering with engineering as the primary implementation counterpart.

The engagement is structured as a contract with a defined path to permanent conversion. The platform builds phase runs 12-18 months to Phase 1 go-live, followed by ongoing product optimisation as a permanent member of the Credit Company team.

Responsibilities
  • Own the UX/UI workstream end‑to‑end across customer‑ and merchant‑facing journeys on web and mobile, from architecture documents through to production‑ready Figma;
  • Read and interpret platform architecture documents, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements independently, and translate them into coherent design without a dedicated briefing layer;
  • Design intuitive and scalable user journeys across onboarding, credit application, loan management, instalment payments, servicing, account management, and merchant back‑office flows;
  • Integrate AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalents) as a core part of the design workflow – accelerating journey documentation, generating flow logic, drafting interface copy, and stress‑testing journeys prior to Figma build, reducing iteration cycles and improving output quality;
  • Produce AI‑assisted flow documentation and journey narratives as structured inputs to Figma, enabling faster and more accurate wireframe production;
  • Develop and refine personal AI workflows throughout the engagement and share best practices across the broader product and technology team;
  • Build wireframes, prototypes, and production‑ready UI designs in Figma independently, with high ownership and minimal supervision;
  • Deliver Figma files that are annotated, component‑structured, and ready for direct implementation, with no interpretation burden on engineering;
  • Establish and maintain design systems, UI standards, component libraries, and consistent user experience principles across all platform surfaces;
  • Manage the approval workflow: present designs to Technology & Innovation, Product, Operations, and Compliance; incorporate feedback; secure sign‑off before handoff;
  • Collaborate directly with engineering as the primary implementation counterpart – clarifying design intent during build and reviewing implemented interfaces against approved designs;
  • Support optimisation of digital conversion funnels and customer engagement through data‑informed UX decisions as the platform accumulates live user data;
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti‑Bribery and Corruption Policy.
Scope
  • Customer onboarding – eGov KYC, liveness verification, and consent capture, with focus on customer experience and conversion;
  • Credit application UX – from checkout trigger to approval or decline, with conversion optimisation and drop‑off reduction as primary objectives;
