Travel Data Center Technician

Job Overview

Maintain data center operations to ensure availability and reliability of service levels.

• Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
• Root cause analysis of hardware and software failures
• Training of internal teams
• Development of documentation
• Provide technical support to data center teams
• Development of scripts to update server and networking hardware (Python, Bash)
• Maintain inventory
• Assemble and install equipment
• Perform maintenance of test and tools equipment
• Occasional travel to other data centers as needed

• Data center operations and rack and stack
• Hardware troubleshooting and cable management
• Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos
• Python and Bash scripting
• Fiber optics

• Computer hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling)
• Linux Operating System experience
• Physical requirements:
  
  lift up to 50 lbs and work in elevated locations
• Availability for a 24/7 environment with on‑call rotation and after‑hours support
• Excellent time‑management, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues

Expert Level

Contract position based out of Wolfforth, TX.

Pay range: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour.
